Heavier-traffic areas or thicker carpets may take 3-4 hours, but you'll never wait 1-2 days like with traditional methods. This means less disruption to your day and no risk of mold or mildew growth.
Do I need to move my furniture?
We recommend moving small items, valuables, and breakables before we arrive. We'll move most furniture (sofas, chairs, tables, beds) and clean underneath, then place everything back on protective tabs to prevent moisture transfer while your carpets finish drying. Very heavy items like entertainment centers or dressers typically stay in place.
Is the process used by Chem-Dry really safe for my kids and pets?
Absolutely. The Natural®, our primary cleaning solution, is green-certified, non-toxic, and contains no soaps or harsh chemicals. It's safe for your entire family—even crawling babies and curious pets. There's no need to keep kids or pets off the carpets after cleaning.
How often should I get my carpets professionally cleaned?

What about tough stains—can you really get them out?
